Job Title: MEP QA/QC - Data Center Construction
Location: Meridian, MS - TravelingKey Responsibilities- Lead the MEP quality program for large-scale data center projects, ensuring all work meets contract documents, industry standards, and owner expectations.
- Review and validate MEP submittals, shop drawings, and equipment selections, with a focus on mission-critical reliability.
- Conduct routine field inspections to verify installation quality for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems.
- Identify, document, and track non-conformance items, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to address technical issues and maintain alignment across the team.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, commissioning records, and turnover packages.
- Support and coordinate commissioning activities, including integrated systems testing and equipment start-up.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures, reinforcing a culture where safety and quality go hand in hand.
- Participate in pre-installation meetings, quality reviews, and owner discussions to maintain clear communication and expectations.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in MEP QA/QC, MEP coordination, or MEP field supervision, preferably on mission-critical or data center projects.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, fire protection, and low-voltage infrastructure.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes, integrated systems testing, and data center performance requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or BIM tools.
- Relevant certifications (CQM, QC Manager, ASHRAE, NICET, etc.) are a plus
