Job Summary

BELL Construction is hiring for a MEP Manager to join their team in Nashville, TN. The MEP Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all aspects of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, low voltage system, and fire sprinkler scopes, including design review, coordinated drawing supervision, submittal review for compliance, field inspections, testing, and commissioning for one project.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conducts and manages MEP trade BIM coordination submittals and meetings.
  • Supervises and directs MEP trade coordination on site.
  • Reviews MEP coordinated drawing submittals in accordance with the contract documents.
  • Supports preconstruction and the project team by reviewing MEP trade material submittals in accordance with the contract documents.
  • Manages MEP trade material tracking and procurement documentation.
  • Develops, monitors, and maintains MEP schedule in conjunction with project field supervision team.
  • Oversees and evaluates field installation.
  • Analyzes contract documents for constructability, code compliance, and functionality.
  • Manages testing and commissioning plans for all MEP systems that identify and define requirements for testing, inspection, documentation, and full system operations.
  • Reviews and advises on MEP change proposals and payment requests.
  • Performs MEP related closeout document delivery.
  • Manages the owner-architect interface in the planning and installation of electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, fire/life safety and fire protection design/construction.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.


Education & Experience
  • Minimum required - Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Minimum required - Five (5) years of commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction experience.


Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Previous experience using Viewpoint, Bluebeam, or related VDC software preferred.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering concepts and applicable codes.
  • Strong understanding of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems and integration with mechanical, electrical, building systems and other MEP-related safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated competence with the test and balance process and all its requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of MEP-related building automation systems and sequences.
