Working Location:

San Jose: North San Jose Center (In-person position)

Working Hours/Shift:

FT, Monday-Friday, AM Shift (9:00 am-5:30 pm)

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

Education

  • Master’s Degree in a mental health field
  • Will Consider: Awaiting BBS registration number – 90 days after date of hire

Experience

  • MHSII - Two (2) years of experience in a mental health field; experience should be preferred with children or adolescents in residential or outpatient settings.
  • MHSIII - Two (2) years of experience in a mental health field; experience should be preferred with children or adolescents in residential or outpatient settings.

License or Certification

  • MHSII - Current BBS registration as an Associate (AMFT, ASW, APCC) OR awaiting BBS registration number
  • MHSIII - LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW license in California
  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

This position has primary responsibility for providing mental health services and case management services to individuals and their families referred to Community Services. Services may include engagement, assessment, evaluation, individual/family/group therapy, and case management. The position acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical and support staff. In addition, the position documents and bills for mental health and case management services and completes outcomes information.

Division/Program Overview: 

  • Programs: Youth consented program 
  • Population Served: Works with clients aged 12-21 years old.
  • Facility & Setting: Community, home-based, and juvenile justice systems (Ranch, juvenile hall)
  • Clinical Services: Provides mental health services to youth involved in juvenile and child welfare systems
  • Skills & Services: Wraparound approach provides services to entire family. Participates in 24/7 on-call system; pay differential.
