Mental Health Therapist I

Pay Range:

$45-$55/ Hourly

About the Role: Provide individual, group, and/or parent counseling as outlined in each student's IEP. Create and manage referral assessments for Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS). Collaborate with school staff to interpret assessment results and develop appropriate interventions.Work closely with teachers, school administrators/directors, and other school personnel to address students' needs and provide insights on mental health issues. Provide consultation and training to school staff and other therapists on mental health topics and effective strategies for supporting students.

What You'll Do:
  • Therapeutic Support: Offer behavioral support and crisis counseling as needed.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes on the platform provided by the company. Prepare reports and documentation for school administration and external agencies as required.
  • Confidentiality: Ensure client information is kept confidential and obtain necessary permissions for information sharing.
  • Supervision: Participate in weekly supervision/consultation meetings with other therapists.
  • Continuing Education: Complete all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) mandated continuing education and renew licenses as required.

What We're Looking For:

Must Have:
  • Licensed in either AMFT, ACSW, APCC
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred:
  • One year of experience in speech therapy
  • Department of Education certification
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs
  • Experience with school-based caseload management
