Mental Health Practitioner.WORK SCHEDULE- 40 hours per week

- Assist clients in developing meaningful and productive life roles
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide initial screenings and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for new clients seeking services
- Provide mental health case management and counseling/ therapy services for an assigned caseload of clients
- As part of a multidisciplinary treatment teamwork with patients and their social networks to assist in their recovery from mental illness
- Assess patient needs and determine interventions
- May assist clients obtain housing and funding as necessary to prevent inappropriate use of crisis services
- Facilitate diversion from voluntary and involuntary psychiatric hospitalization when clinically appropriate
- Participate in case reviews
- Document patient contact in the medical record
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Engage in triage services
REQUIREMENTS- A Master's Degree in behavioral sciences, such as psychology, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, vocational or educational counseling, or social work OR Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a behavioral science AND three years' of experience in the direct delivery of professional mental health care.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Compensation, Benefits and Position DetailsPay Range Minimum:$36.26 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:$51.88 hourly
