FTE: 1.0_, Shift: Day_, Schedule: Day_Position SummaryThe Mental Health Care Provider (MHCP) provides crisis intervention and evaluation to meet the unique needs of consumers and their families in the community, consumer residence and other areas. You will provide follow up support, document work, and prepare mandatory reports in adherence with agency policies, clinical guidelines and WAC regulations regarding crisis procedures.
Work requires providing 24/7 coverage including outreach for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Responsibilities:- Performs interventions that may include initial risk evaluation, to determine the level of danger to self, others or extent of being gravely disabled
- Develops safety plans with consumers and natural supports as needed
- Makes appropriate referrals to inpatient, outpatient and/or county designated Crisis Responders for involuntary inpatient investigations or links to community supports under appropriate supervision
- Determines need and facilitates requests to the designated crisis responder when an involuntary detainment evaluation is deemed necessary
- Fulfills all mandatory reporting requirements per agency policy
- Documents clinical observations, results of risk evaluations, collaborative activities and case disposition.
- Performs follow up contacts with consumers to provide support while connecting them to appropriate services
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree required
- Five (5) years of experience in social services, mental health or related field required; direct client care in a mental health setting preferred
- Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire. Employees may work while the application is pending for up to one hundred twenty (120) days

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $34.80 - $50.10 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
