Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our Compliance team. In this vital role, you will support the design, implementation, and optimization of compliance programs across all Anchorage Digital legal entities. Working closely with various compliance functions, particularly Financial Crimes Compliance, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness across the program by transforming raw data into actionable insights, spearheading process improvements, and leveraging technology to enhance our overall compliance posture. This role is ideal for a proactive, hungry technologist who thrives on solving complex problems within a dynamic regulatory landscape. We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Compliance, Analytics role: Technical Skills: 3Expertise in compliance data:3 Deeply understand compliance-related data tables and models, including data nuances, underlying codes, and model limitations, with the ability to conduct reliable data analysis independently and accurately. 3Process automation and collaboration:3 Work closely with stakeholders to automate key compliance workflows using internal tools, focusing on areas like Know-Your-Customer, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity identification and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. 3AI deployment and innovation:3 Bring experience experimenting with and deploying AI solutions, while staying current with the latest AI developments to actively find new ways to enhance efficiency through internal AI tools or creative methods. Complexity and Impact of Work: 3Model development and enhancement:3 Support the development and enhancement of BSA/AML models, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer risk rating, blockchain analytics, and other relevant BSA/AML tools. 3Process improvement and best practices:3 Contribute to process improvements and best practices for the FCC Analytics team, including code review, testing frameworks, project management, and documentation. 3Ad hoc analysis and regulatory response:3 Conduct ad hoc analyses and respond to time-sensitive data requests from auditors, regulators, or other Compliance teams with accuracy and speed. Organizational Knowledge: 3Business and data flow comprehension:3 Develop a deep understanding of Anchorage Digital's business model across custody, staking, stablecoins, and trading, and how data flows through these domains and compliance models. 3Cross-functional coordination:3 Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Engineering, to implement and improve tools and processes within the broader Compliance department. 3Organizational and strategic alignment:3 Understand how the Compliance and FCC teams fit within the broader organizational structure, and align work with team and company priorities. Communication and Influence: 3Priority management and clarity:3 Manage competing priorities across strategic projects and urgent ad-hoc requests, asking clarifying questions to scope ambiguous requests and pushing back constructively when requirements are unclear to propose alternative approaches. 3Insight presentation and tailoring:3 Present findings and data insights with appropriate context, visual aids, and a tailored communication style. You may be a fit for this role if you have: 3Experience:3 Bring 2-3 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role, paired with a strong understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and the financial services industry. 3Technical Proficiency:3 Demonstrate the ability to operate autonomously to manage multiple competing priorities, alongside proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools like SQL, Looker, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets. This includes advanced SQL skills such as CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and query optimization, with the ability to write production-quality queries for diverse use cases. 3Automation & AI Aptitude:3 Possess experience with or a strong interest in automation principles, leveraging existing AI tools, and exploring new AI tools, such as AI Agents, to enhance productivity. 3Technologist Mindset:3 Bring a strong understanding of how systems, data flows, and technologies interact, even if you are not necessarily an engineer, combined with an eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
