This role is focused on building trusted scientific partnerships with a defined set of high-priority academic and community neurology centers, delivering high-quality scientific exchange, and generating actionable insights to inform medical strategy and ensure clinical readiness.

This is a field-facing, development-oriented role operating within a highly focused engagement model, where you will engage healthcare professionals managing rare and developmental epilepsies. You will communicate emerging clinical data, deepen disease state understanding, and identify unmet needs and potential barriers to patient care.

Working closely with internal, cross-functional partners to support aligned and compliant execution of pre-launch and launch activities in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Success in this role requires strong scientific curiosity, effective communication skills, and the ability to engage in complex clinical discussions while continuing to build confidence and independence in the field.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, and key opinion leaders at a defined set of priority academic and community neurology centers
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and compliant scientific exchange on disease state, clinical data, and the relutrigine clinical profile, including complex discussions in rare and genetic epilepsies
  • Support pre-launch medical readiness by educating stakeholders on emerging data, evolving treatment paradigms, and patient identification considerations in SCN2A and SCN8A populations
  • Engage in deep scientific dialogue on mechanism of action, genotype-phenotype relationships, and clinical data interpretation in rare patient populations
  • Gather, synthesize, and communicate field insights (e.g., unmet needs, diagnostic challenges, treatment patterns, clinical questions) to inform medical strategy
  • Support identification and engagement of key experts and specialized epilepsy centers under the guidance of senior team members
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure aligned execution of field activities and support clinical readiness
  • Represent Praxis at scientific congresses and medical meetings, capturing and translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rare epilepsy landscapes, clinical data, and emerging scientific developments
  • Ensure all field activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards

Qualifications and Key Success Factors
  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, or RN)
  • Early to mid-career experience in medical affairs, clinical practice, clinical research, or related roles in biotech/pharma
  • Strong ability to learn and communicate scientific and clinical information clearly and credibly
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with healthcare providers
  • Interest in developing field-based expertise, including insight gathering and scientific engagement
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel extensively (~60-80%)
  • Experience in neurology or CNS disorders preferred
  • Exposure to payer/market access concepts is a plus
  • Candidates with prior field-based experience and a demonstrated track record of independently driving site performance, influencing investigators, and improving trial execution may be considered at a higher level.
