About the Role:

This position provides radiation physics support for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Responsibilities include performing clinical medical physics and dosimetry duties, participating in patient treatment planning, ensuring quality assurance across radiation equipment, and supporting the safe operation of linear accelerators and simulation devices. You will collaborate with dosimetrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure accurate and effective treatments within a technology-forward environment.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in medical physics, radiological physics, or related field (required).
  • Ph.D. in medical or radiological physics (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical medical physics experience; applicants who have completed a CAMPEP-accredited residency meet this requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in patient treatment planning and review all performance improvement records.
  • Assist with special procedures including brachytherapy, SRS, SBRT, total body irradiation, and total skin irradiation.
  • Perform QA for all radiation-producing machines, including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks, calibrations, and safety procedures.
  • Support equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Conduct patient-specific dose measurements for treatment verification (IMRT QA, in-vivo dosimetry, etc.).
  • Partner with dosimetrists, therapists, and clinical staff to ensure treatment accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain clinical knowledge, skills, credentials, and competency.
  • Adapt communication and patient interaction to specific patient needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical excellence.
