Medical Monitor

As a Medical Director, Clinical Research & Development at ICON, you will provide medical leadership and strategic direction to clinical development programs. We are looking for a board certified professional with experience in monitoring Obesity/GLP-1 studies.

What You Will Do:

You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing medical and scientific oversight for clinical trials, ensuring that study protocols are scientifically sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with clinical operations, regulatory, and safety teams to drive the successful execution of clinical development programs.
  • Developing and reviewing clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and other key study documents.
  • Interpreting clinical trial data and providing medical insights to inform decision-making and guide clinical development strategies.
  • Building relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and external stakeholders to support clinical development initiatives.

Your Profile:

You will bring significant medical affairs experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in clinical research and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GCP guidelines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on interpreting clinical data and driving evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
