  • Salary - $85,000 per year
  • Clearance - Must have a Secret Clearance
  • This role is split between two work locations:

60% - 633rd Medical War Reserve Material Warehouse, Langley AFB, VA

40% - ACC/SGX Expeditionary Medical Operations Division, Langley AFB, VA

Summary

The Medical Logistics Equipment Management Specialist supports the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of the AEW 2.0 Role 1 Equipment Set. This position ensures medical equipment is accurately tracked, maintained, inventoried, and ready to support deployment requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience with military logistics, equipment accountability, inventory management, and medical supply operations. Strong organizational, communication, and data management skills are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
  • Support the lifecycle management, sustainment, modernization, and configuration control of the AEW 2.0 Role 1 Equipment Set.
  • Monitor equipment readiness and identify shortages, maintenance requirements, funding needs, and other issues affecting operational capability.
  • Coordinate equipment testing, training activities, and readiness requirements with supported military units.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external organizations regarding equipment loans, Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), and equipment accountability.
  • Plan and coordinate equipment validation events, deployments, and training exercises, including transportation, equipment setup, logistics coordination, and support planning.
  • Maintain accurate equipment accountability records within the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
  • Conduct physical inventories and automated reconciliations to identify equipment shortages, missing components, expired items, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare and communicate equipment readiness reports, inventory status updates, and shortfall analyses to leadership.
  • Monitor Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP) requirements and Quality Assurance (QA) alerts to ensure equipment remains mission ready.
  • Support installation-level medical emergency preparedness inventories and assist with establishing and maintaining all-hazard medical equipment inventories.
  • Perform physical inventory verification and support recurring inventory requirements.
  • Provide logistics guidance to supported units on equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, technical order compliance, and equipment accountability.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual reviews of unit equipment inventories to identify maintenance trends, supply issues, and readiness concerns.
  • Coordinate with supported units to ensure local inventories remain synchronized with command-level equipment records.
  • Coordinate repair activities with maintenance organizations and medical logistics partners to expedite equipment repairs, upgrades, and replacement actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all logistics activities comply with established military policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Hands-on experience supporting military logistics, equipment maintenance, inventory control, or supply management operations.
  • Experience using the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system for equipment accountability, inventory management, and readiness reporting.
  • Working knowledge of the Medical Readiness Decision Support System (MRDSS) and deployment planning tools such as LOGMOD/DCSPES.
  • Understanding of military property accountability procedures, hand receipt management, and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs).
  • Experience conducting physical inventories, inventory reconciliations, and equipment accountability audits.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common logistics equipment, including barcode scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
  • Experience working within military warehouse, logistics, maintenance, or operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Air Force Medical Service deployable medical equipment programs or similar military medical logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with Air Force medical equipment allowance standards and expeditionary medical readiness programs.
