Medical Lab Scientist - Blood Bank/Laboratory

Location: Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA

Job Type: 36 hour

Shift: Night

The Medical Lab Scientist Will:

  • performs complex immunohematology testing, including ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening and identification, and compatibility testing. The MLS prepares and issues blood products, investigates transfusion reactions, performs specialized testing, and provides critical transfusion support to ensure the safe and timely delivery of blood products to patients.

  • Schedule: 3rd shift
  • Weekend Requirement: Rotating coverage as needed
