The Opportunity

The Medical Information Specialist will help build and operate Praxis' AI-enabled Medical Information capability as we prepare for potential launch and future portfolio growth. Serving as the primary human expert for Medical Information escalations, this person will respond to complex inquiries, develop and govern scientific response content, and ensure AI-generated responses remain accurate, balanced, current, and useful. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong scientific judgment with a builder mindset. You'll work at the intersection of medical expertise, technology, and stakeholder experience, using inquiry insights to continuously improve both our content and how we deliver it to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Own complex Medical Information inquiries. Serve as the primary escalation point when an inquiry requires human expertise, providing timely, accurate, balanced, and scientifically appropriate responses to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, specialty pharmacies, payers, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain high-quality scientific content. Research, author, and maintain a rigorous and scalable Medical Information content library; evaluate scientific literature and emerging data; and ensure content remains current, consistent, and scientifically accurate.
  • Provide human oversight of AI-enabled Medical Information. Monitor escalated and AI-generated responses for quality, accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness. Continuously improve AI response quality and coverage by identifying opportunities to strengthen response libraries, knowledge bases, and workflows.
  • Turn inquiries into insight and action. Analyze inquiry trends, frequently asked questions, and emerging information needs to identify content gaps, educational opportunities, and improvements to the Medical Information experience.
  • Support strong governance and operational execution. Partner effectively across Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and other functions to review Medical Information materials, maintain appropriate documentation, and ensure timely fulfillment of requests.
  • Build for launch and scale. Help establish a Medical Information capability that supports launch readiness while creating scalable content, processes, metrics, and ways of working that can grow with the Praxis portfolio.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors
  • PharmD, RN, or bachelor's degree in a life-sciences discipline; PharmD strongly preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of Medical Information experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including direct experience responding to unsolicited medical inquiries.
  • Strong scientific judgment with demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical literature and translate complex information into clear, accurate responses for different audiences.
  • Excellent medical writing and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging directly with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Medical Information response content; experience with inquiry management systems and commercial or launch-stage products is strongly preferred.
  • Curiosity about AI-enabled Medical Information and the judgment to know where technology can improve the experience and where human expertise matters most.
  • A builder who takes ownership, moves with urgency, identifies gaps before they become problems, and continuously raises the quality of the work.

The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
