Compensation Range: $130,200 - $135,200 yearly commensurate with experience

Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.

Overview:

The Chief Medical Director will provide medical and clinical oversight for the Intercambios Health Center and all Intercambios Puerto Rico medical services, with a commitment to the provision of quality medical services that are both responsive to patient and community needs, as well as cost-effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the provision of high-quality medical care at Intercambios Puerto Rico and Intercambios Health Center.
  • Ensure access to the constituent community by ensuring the availability of providers and scheduling capacity.
  • Ensure that health care services are cost-effective.
  • Draft and implement policies that are responsive to client needs and that adhere to requirements of funding sources and third-party payers.
  • Provide quality, direct medical care to Health Center clients.
  • Assist the Clinical Director in his/her role as liaison to the surrounding medical community.
  • Function as the primary medical liaison between the Health Center and the CEO/Executive Director and Clinical Director.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Health Center's Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement activities, including development and annual revision of the Quality Management Plan.
  • Hire and terminate staff, as necessary, in conjunction with the Executive Director and Clinical Director.
  • Oversee personnel issues within the Health Center, as appropriate.
  • Participate in strategic planning. Lead and attend site meetings, as appropriate.


Requirements:

  • Must be a Board-Certified Physician with at least five years of post-certification practice experience.
  • Must be committed to community health and the mission of community health centers.
  • Reports to: Clinical Director
