Full Job Description
Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a team member that is passionate about serving and caring for our community of patients, has a great attention to detail and loves working on a team. Some technical requirements for this position are:

  • Active Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse License, and/or unencumbered Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through an accredited agency (CCMA, RMA, CMA, etc.).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, but we are willing to train new Medical Assistants.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check in relation to the position applied for.

Day to Day:
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs. Document information accurately using appropriate forms and charting format in health care information record.
  • Perform intake procedures and assist providers with patients as directed by Medical Assistant Supervisor and YNHS providers.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with patient follow-up activities, including referrals, recall and other patient needs.
  • Assist other medical services staff with patient flow as needed and/or directed.
  • Assist with supply management and appropriate stocking of exam rooms.
  • Maintain proper sanitation standards, according to YNHS procedure, both with cleaning and sterilization procedures of patient facilities and instruments.
  • Administer procedures as directed by supervisors and in accordance with Washington State Health Care Assistant regulations.
  • Maintain organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area.
  • Represent YNHS in local meetings as requested.
  • Perform related work and other tasks as requested.
