Job Description:

As the Manager, Medical Affairs, you will lead the execution of global Medical Affairs initiatives that support product development, clinical evidence generation, scientific communication, and commercial success. You will partner across Research & Development, Clinical, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure scientific excellence while driving operational effectiveness and compliance.

This role requires a strong blend of scientific rigor, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the organization is positioned as a clinically credible and science-driven leader in the aesthetic device space.

What you'll do:

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of the global Medical Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, product lifecycle plans, and organizational priorities.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical studies, including protocol development, CRO and investigator management, study timelines, budgets, data quality, and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Drive clinical evidence generation strategies by identifying data gaps, evaluating scientific opportunities, and translating clinical insights into actionable recommendations that support product development, claims substantiation, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide scientific leadership for the analysis and interpretation of clinical data to support product positioning, regulatory submissions, publications, scientific communications, and marketing claims. Oversee the development and review of scientific and medical content, including clinical dossiers, white papers, manuscripts, abstracts, congress materials, training resources, scientific presentations, FAQs, and field medical tools to ensure scientific accuracy and consistency.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, research partners, and advisory board members to gather external insights, support innovation, and strengthen scientific collaborations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams to provide scientific guidance that supports product development, commercialization, educational initiatives, and business strategy.
  • Lead Medical Affairs operational excellence by developing and maintaining departmental processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), budgets, metrics, and compliance activities while ensuring timely responses to medical information requests and product-related scientific inquiries.
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and research partners, including oversight of project deliverables, timelines, budgets, and contractual obligations to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Foster scientific excellence and contribute to the continuous improvement of Medical Affairs capabilities and organizational effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills/Education:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced scientific degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical, or a related scientific role
  • Experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or medical devices is preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and GCP
  • Experience managing clinical studies and interpreting data
  • Strong understanding of claims substantiation
  • Proven track record of scientific publications and medical writing
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, consultative approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%


Preferred:
  • Experience medical education programs
  • Experience supporting SOP development and compliant medical processes
  • Exposure to regulatory or quality systems in a medical device environment
  • Prior experience working with KOLs or healthcare providers

Base Pay: $121,000 - $145,000 + Bonus

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
