Overview

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Manager to join our Medicaid consulting team. As part of our consulting team focused on state Medicaid agencies, you will work within Medicaid policy to help agencies implement new programs, and administer their current program. You’ll be the success partner for Medicaid agencies in building healthier communities and stronger futures.

 

You will work remotely, hybrid, or in one of our offices, helping clients nationally. You will report to and partner with management team members and our Medicaid subject matter experts for both client work and career development. With a growth mindset, you will drive your own development. Your initial work will be in support of our client in West Virginia while gaining experience to serve as a lead for our policy work in Guam. Successful candidates should be willing to support Guam, which will minimally require supporting the client from 8 am to 12 pm Tuesday through Friday Chamorro Standard Time (ChST). Some relocation options may be available.

You Will
  • Lead one or more client policy initiative(s) with a team that will engage in activities such as policy analysis and recommendations, client communications, client meetings, action item management, and project progress tracking and reporting
  • Drive your development through an annual process that supports your growth goal in partnership with your supervisor and BerryDunn’s learning and development team
  • Participate in new business development through activities such as research, supporting proposal content, or developing marketing materials.
You Have
  • Drive and initiative
  • Seven to ten years working for a Medicaid agency supporting policy initiatives or consulting with Medicaid agencies on policy initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to inform the direction of the program along with managing projects and initiatives to implement program changes to comply with the regulation.
  • Experience working with most Medicaid authorities such as waivers and the state plan
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in in Public Policy, Health Management, or Public Health, or a similar field
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building and teamwork
  • Excellent writing, communication and computer skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Preferred – experience in MAGI and non-MAGI eligibility
  • Preferred – experience navigating the reimbursement portion of state plans
Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $145,000 - 155,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
