As a Colle McVoy Media Supervisor or Associate Media Director, you’d be part of a team that creates meaningful connections and champions innovative media plans across a spectrum of channels and first-to-market opportunities. We’re looking for someone with proven experience supervising media teams and interacting with clients, while not being afraid to also roll up your sleeves and do the work. You’ll oversee, inspire and mentor a team of media planners and assistant media planners and work alongside your director and investment specialists to create strategies, build media plans and presentations and coach the team through plan execution, stewardship and reporting. You’ll collaborate with internal cross-department teams and external media partners to make our teams and clients smarter about their competitive landscape, industry trends, and audience media habits. You’ll lead your team to provide not just reporting, but actionable insights to make every plan better. A rock star in this role will be a strong communicator, an eagle-eye on the details and a “big picture” maker. They’ll be dynamic, data-driven, creative, and ready to dive in on Day One. Responsibilities
- Initiate and facilitate media strategy, plan development, execution, reporting and stewardship
- Master account/client and media vehicle knowledge
- Collaborate as part of core team to develop paid media strategies
- Manage and coordinate all media team strategic and investment efforts
- Determine planning and resource needs
- Establish audience profiles and primary strategies to guide media planning and annual evaluations
- Primary internal team and client-facing responsibility for media discipline
- Interact with multi-functional teams (Account Management, Creative, Data Science,
- Brand Strategy, Public Relations, Brand Experience Design, Finance)
- Guide strategic direction, review plan documents, provide proactive reporting/plan stewardship
- Lead client presentation development
- Facilitate media relationships to advance understanding of existing/emerging markets and industry
- Schedule and attend media representative meetings
- Review and discuss opportunities with industry experts – educate team, evaluate industry trends, needs for research
- Participates in internal team and agency development
- Work with Media team leadership to determine goals and strategies for team development
- Train and mentor direct reports (media planners, assistant media planners) on a daily basis
- Develop and present agency training presentations on new ideas; bring in relevant speakers for agency and group presentations
- Integrate emerging AI technologies into daily workflows to support innovation, automation, and operational excellence
Required Skills
- Ability to independently write media plans and create client-ready decks
- Strong communications skills including managing regular client communication and confidence to present to client teams both virtually and in-person.
- Proficient across all media planning core skills and tools: full funnel media channel evaluation and recommendations, reach and frequency and media mix modeling (MMM) analyses, competitive analysis, audience creation/analysis, plan reporting and optimization
- Strong attention to detail
- Resourceful, with strong management skills and demonstrated team-leadership
- Ability to thrive in a culture of teaching and learning
- Competent at prompting AI and interpreting AI responses to assist in research and media planning
- Proficient with MRI-Simmons, Media Radar and Pathmatics (or similar competitive tracking tools), Nielsen Commspoint and Mediaocean/Prisma
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of agency-side media planning experience
- Integrated agency experience preferred
- Experience across all media channels (television/video, digital, social, radio/audio, print, out of home) and full funnel marketing required
- Global media and Retail Media experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams; Google Slides a plus
- Ability to travel as needed
At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $90,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
