Full Job Description
We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Mechatronics (Manufacturing) Engineer to join the POWDER DIVISION at our ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Ability to repair most manufacturing and facility equipment with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

The Mechatronics (Manufacturing) Engineer will help design, develop, test, and improve integrated mechanical, electrical, control, and software systems used in automated equipment, robotics, manufacturing systems, and smart products. This role requires strong technical judgment, hands-on problem-solving, and collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and integrate mechatronic systems that combine mechanical components, electronics, sensors, actuators, control systems, and embedded software.
  • Create and evaluate prototypes, test fixtures, automation concepts, and system improvements from concept through implementation.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize control logic, PLC programs, embedded systems, motion control, robotics, and human-machine interfaces as needed.
  • Use CAD, simulation, and engineering analysis tools to create mechanical layouts, assemblies, drawings, and design documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, safety, product quality, and maintainability.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for mechanical, electrical, or controls issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Specify, source, and evaluate components such as motors, drives, sensors, controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation hardware.
  • Support installation, commissioning, validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated systems and production equipment.
  • Prepare technical reports, test plans, risk assessments, operating procedures, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure designs and processes comply with applicable safety standards, company policies, regulatory requirements, and best engineering practices.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, or improving automated equipment, robotics, electromechanical systems, or manufacturing systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design, electrical systems, controls engineering, sensors, actuators, and system integration.
  • Experience with CAD software and engineering documentation, such as drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and test reports.
  • Programming experience in one or more relevant languages or platforms, such as PLC ladder logic, or structured text.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, motion control, IoT-enabled equipment, or smart manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, VFDs, industrial networks, safety circuits, and common automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, design for manufacturability, failure mode and effects analysis, or reliability engineering.
  • Experience supporting equipment qualification, validation, preventive maintenance, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certification, advanced degree, or specialized training in robotics, automation, controls, or related disciplines.
