The candidate will have over 10 years of mechanical design, thermal and static analysis, material selection, environmental ruggedization, and payload/platform system safety & integration experience, to work on a program at Point Mugu, Ca. Salary
The typical annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00 USD to $140,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
Responsibilities
- Demonstratable experience in MBSE/Digital Engineering capabilities
- Create mechanical designs and CAD models for payloads and assemblies
- Perform thermal and structural FEA analysis
- Select materials and design for environmental ruggedization
- Support payload integration on platforms including mounts and harness routing
- Produce manufacturing documentation with GD&T and tolerances
- Support vibration, thermal, and environmental testing
Qualifications
- 10 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- 5 years of mechanical design/analysis experience
- Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL
- Experience with thermal analysis and environmental qualification
- Strong knowledge of materials, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
Desired Experience
- Reverse-engineering exposure and solutioning
- Line Replacement Unit, Assembly, and system level Test
- System Safety Engineering
- Participant in a system level engineering effort; System Engineering resource

EDUCATION
Degree: BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) or a relevant technical discipline
