Tata Technologies, Inc.: Mechanical Lead- Detroit, MI
DUTIES:
• Plan and design engineering aspects of automotive and manufacturing components
• Modify and refine designs using working models to conform to customer specifications, production limitations or changes in design trends
• Produce cad solid models of proposed mechanical components, providing engineering analytics of designed components and systems and recommending optimal materials specifications and component selection for production process
• Prepare detailed drawings of mechanical equipment using computer aided design software
• Produce documentation detailing the design specifications of components and generate engineering test plans and reports in preparation for migrating the design plans into manufacturing production environments
• Evaluate feasibility of design ideas.
• Provide engineering support within the clients new product design processes from inception to development, providing advanced computer aided engineering renditions and models for the proposed components
• Engage in discussions and review meetings with customers and vendors
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field and 5 years of experience with product design and systems integration. Qualified candidate must possess:
• 5 years of experience leading the resolution of technical and process issues as they arise
• 5 years of experience in OEM or tier one component delivery.
• 5 years of experience with change control, product definition and change management processes
• 5 years of experience in NX
Telework: Position may be eligible for full or part time telecommuting with authorization from manager and HR
Travel: Up to 5% domestic and international travel, including visits to vendor location for review meetings
BASE SALARY RANGE: $125,362 to $150,000/year. Regional salary adjustments for CA, CO, NY and WA states are base + 20% - 30%.
