Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and dedicated teammates.

You'll ensure the successful management and development of the Mechanical Integration team, promoting and implementing quality management systems and technical standards for the Mechanical Integration domain at the site level. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business, such as Technical Directors and Workload Managers, to align resources with project needs, and support the resolution of challenges across multidisciplinary teams, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of managing the team's workload and resource planning, but also ensuring effective collaboration with other domains and stakeholders.

We'll look to you for:
  • Ensuring understanding and application of technical rules, processes, and tools for the Mechanical Integration domain
  • Promoting collaborative work with other domains within the Technical Directorate
  • Allocating and managing adequate resources for projects, programs, and tenders
  • Developing the Mechanical Integration team to meet capacity, workload, and skill requirements
  • Forecasting and managing workload, identifying resources to meet quality, cost, and delivery commitments
  • Supporting the team in resolving issues, particularly those involving multi-domain collaboration
  • Validating technical documents, such as 3D models and 2D assembly drawings, as per standards
  • Reporting progress and flagging key issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Applying and following up on the People Management Cycle within the team

  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering applications
  • Detailed knowledge of structural design, calculation, and special processes
  • General knowledge of train mechanical architecture, interface management, crash, mechanical integration, system engineering, and materials
  • Experience in project management (quality, cost, delay)
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Bilingual French & English. Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when dealing with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues and customers. In Quebec, French remains the main working language of our company.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Significant experience in railway products (ideally train-level project execution in Alstom) - desirable
