Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering designs and create CAD drawings.
  • Conduct basic mechanical testing and perform analysis.
  • Support full product lifecycle for fuel system components from concept to release.
  • Interpret 2D drawings and communicate necessary changes to suppliers.
  • Help design manufacturing tools and fixtures.
  • Conduct packaging reviews, feasibility assessments, and tolerance evaluations.
  • Support prototype builds and validation testing, including investigating issues and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and projects.
  • Aid in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery related to fuel system components.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and records.

Full Job Description
SOLIZE Canada Corporation, located at 3270 Electricity Dr, Suite 207 - Windsor, Ontario, Canada is looking for one (1) full-time and permanent Mechanical Engineering Technician Technologist (NOC 22301). The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
  • Assist with engineering designs and CAD drawings
  • Perform basic mechanical testing and analysis
  • Assist with full product lifecycle (concept, prototype, production, release) for fuel system components
  • Interpret 2D Drawings and communicate to suppliers if any changes are required
  • Support the design of manufacturing tools and fixtures
  • Perform packaging reviews, feasibility assessments and tolerance evaluations to ensure fuel components meet vehicle integration and manufacturing requirements
  • Support prototype builds, validation testing, and launch activities, including investigation of test results, fit/function issues, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in inspecting mechanical installations and projects
  • Help with the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery fuel system components .
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and release records to support production, service and post launch issue resolution.
Applicant must have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist preferably with an automotive OEM . Applicant must have a College Diploma/Certificate. Applicant must have demonstrate minimum 2 years of expertise in DVP&R, DFMEA, APQP, PPAP preferred. Experience with Teamcenter PLM, UG NX, and OEM engineering tool suites an asset. Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
Successful candidate will be remunerated $38.50 per hour, 40 hours per week.
