Summary
We're looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of complex enclosures and housings for diagnostic medical devices; you’ll touch every part of the development process from concept through to production.

  • Interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards to define design inputs and constraints
  • Design & prototype complex rugged enclosures and housings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
  • Communicate with international and domestic vendors to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing & cost (DFM).
  • Lead prototype builds
  • Facilitate design transfer to our onsite and international production sites

Experience Level with Business Tools

    • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
    • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
    • Advanced knowledge of Solidworks, including surfacing techniques 
    • Advanced knowledge of a variety of manufacturing techniques: injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, MIM, 3D printing, composites 
    • Design of products which balance complex considerations such as thermal, EMI, ingress protection, ergonomics, aesthetics
    • A solid understanding of GD&T
    • A history of working in multidisciplinary teams

 

Typical Education and Experience

    • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 5+ years of related experience
