Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design for buildings, including upgrades and retrofits.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or on track for licensure in Virginia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software.
• Strong understanding of ASHRAE guidelines, energy codes, and applicable building codes.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects on time and within budget while meeting client expectations.
• Conduct design analyses, calculations, and select equipment/system layouts.
• Support scope of work and fee development, including staffing and scheduling.
• Ensure successful project delivery with a focus on budget performance and profitability.
• Contribute to quality control standards and best practices for project management.
• Oversee the development and execution of mechanical and plumbing designs, ensuring consistent quality assurance.
• Provide technical reviews of project drawings, specifications, and calculations, managing feedback resolution.
