Whitman, Requardt & Associates is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic Building Design Group in Baltimore. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be a key player in completing the design and construction administration for small to medium-sized projects, as well as collaborating within larger design teams for substantial projects. We are looking for a highly experienced mechanical engineer with in-depth knowledge of various mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing.
Responsibilities:- Construction Documentation: Develop plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications for mechanical systems.
- Engineering Design Analysis: Conduct mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, and ensure designs meet energy and sustainable design targets.
- Team Engagement: .Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Technical Expertise: Develop control strategies, calculations, system concepts, layouts, and designs.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineers and staff members, fostering their professional growth.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
- 11-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in industry software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Must be a US Citizen
Skills and Qualifications:- Proficient knowledge of a variety of mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and guidelines.
- Experience in sustainable design practices.
- Excellent interdisciplinary coordination skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project stakeholders.

The expected compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience
