Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Engineer to support Model-Based Engineering initiatives across LS. This role will be responsible for contributing to strategy and driving progress with Model-Based Engineering initiatives including digital requirements management, simulation lifecycle management, model-based definition for manufacturing & inspection (MBDMI), and other model-based design activities.
What You Will Do:- Develops and maintains detailed understanding of the W&B products including their design, manufacturing, and performance in the field.
- Contributes to roadmaps and overall Model-Based Engineering strategy.
- Responsible for driving the development of design methods and tools.
- Partners with the Design Engineering team to support the transition to model-based design.
- Responsible for identifying process gaps, developing plans to close, and leading the effort or handing off to the right owners to execute.
- Partners with manufacturing and quality to advance model-based design for manufacturing and inspection.
- Leverages CORE processes and tools to identify opportunities for CI where possible.
- Responsible for benchmarking tools, developing project plans, leveraging available resources to execute to plan.
- Collaborates with the Digital Thread and Digital Solutions teams to support the broader DPLC roadmap as it pertains to digital twins and model-based design.
- Partners with Collins Global Engineering Centers and Best Cost Engineering organizations to leverage resources/knowledge to support all aspects of the business.
- Up to 25% travel as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Experience working with engineering software for CAD and PLM.
Qualifications We Prefer:- Experience in support of aerospace products or wheels & brakes.
- Experience in support of machining, manufacturing, or inspection.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
