Position Summary:We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our surgical navigation team in Methuen, Massachusetts. Our team is responsible for tracking robot end effectors and other surgical apparatus in the operating room as well as developing cutting edge sensors, displays and techniques. Candidates should demonstrate strong mechanical design skills and be comfortable working with individuals across several engineering disciplines. This is a highly creative team working on novel technologies, so intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn and adapt to new things are a must.
Essential Functions:- Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design, develop, and test all aspects of surgical navigation products
- May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical components
- Support the creation of product requirements, specifications, and test documents.
- Support the development of manufacturing test fixtures and documentation
- Supports manufacturing, internal testing, and external customers when presented with quality issues. Prioritizes work to identify the root cause and create a corrective plan that ensures timely resolution of issues
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
