Full Job Description
You as a M&E Project Manager - Commissioning will:
  • Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and ensure applicable activities fit within the overall project framework.
  • Chair project M&E meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling and costing and solve complex technical issues.
  • Monitor a project's material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conducted.
  • Lead and manage all commissioning and controls activities, including system integration, functional performance testing, deficiency resolution, and documentation of system performance.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and operations teams to ensure building automation systems (BAS), controls sequences, and M&E systems are operating as designed and meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and implement training programs to ensure successful transition from the construction team to facility management.

Is this the right role for you?
  • You have an Engineering/Mechanical degree or equivalent combination of technical training.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Design experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with commissioning, controls, building automation systems (BAS), system integration, or facility operations is considered a strong asset.
  • Experienced in the management of projects end to end i.e. scope development, spec development, tendering review and evaluation, managing contractor installation, quality review, commissioning, project closeout, etc.
  • You have 5 - 7 years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical functions.
  • Experience leading commissioning activities and validating the performance of mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.
  • This position is hybrid between Beaverlodge and Edmonton.
