Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in automation or a related field.
• At least 2 years of First Article Inspection (FAI) design engineering experience.
• Moderate skill level in Pro/Engineer software essential.
• Ability to design new concepts and set standards.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities required.
• Must be organized with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Produce innovative mechanical designs for packaging machinery based on customer specifications.
• Oversee all aspects of design engineering tasks.
• Provide production support to machining and assembly areas.
• Model purchase and custom parts using Pro/E.
• Draft detailed multi-view drawings of machines and products.
• Conduct research on manufacturing processes for design improvements.
• Perform prototyping for new product developments.
