Job Description

We are specifically looking for a Mechanical Engineer with Gas Turbine experience interested in joining our Turbine team. The scope of the work will include new product design, analysis, lifing and testing support of gas turbine components for new designs, redesigns and to resolve field-related issues, as well as Model-Based Systems Engineering Development.

This position is located at our Phoenix, AZ site. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a flexible balance between in-office and remote work after an initial 90-day period.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in cooled and uncooled turbine mechanical or thermal design efforts.
  • Participate in the development of Model-Based Systems Engineering processes and documents.
  • Implement 2D and 3D finite element modeling techniques using analytical tools such as NX and ANSYS. Execute complex axial turbine-related design and analysis efforts with an integrated team of engineers.
  • Effectively support complex projects involving multiple organizations to successfully complete all assignments.
  • Support engine tests and functional tests for engine certification or RCCA efforts.
  • Support continuous process improvement projects within the organization.
  • Communicate technical results to internal and external customers.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Equivalent of 2 years or more of experience


WE VALUE
  • Gas turbine experience
  • MBSE certification
  • Practical knowledge of ANSYS for stress analysis including the creation of finite element models from CAD solid models and skill in using CAD software.
  • Experience with Siemens NX.
  • Effectively work in a self-directed team environment to deliver customers requirements on time.
  • Strong teamwork skills, able to work in variety of team roles within cross-functional team.
  • Must be dedicated to customer satisfaction and demonstrated the capability to establish and maintain strong business and personal relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.


Travel, up to 10%, may be expected.
