This position is focused on the design and development of chassis components including wheels, brakes, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
The role involves working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers to deliver robust, manufacturable, and high-quality components throughout the product development lifecycle.
This is a technical engineering role requiring strong CAD design expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple design activities in a fast-paced development environment.
The engineer will play a key role in resolving technical challenges, supporting validation activities, and ensuring components meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
Experience in automotive design, particularly in chassis systems, and proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA V6 are essential.
Familiarity with design for manufacturability and basic CAE result interpretation is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Chassis Design & Development
Design and develop chassis components (wheels, brakes, fuel systems, exhaust, etc.) using CAD tools
Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings with full GD&T application
Ensure robust modeling practices to support design changes and revisions
Collaborate with design and test engineers to validate component performance and functionality
Support design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement
Technical Problem Solving & Validation
Analyze and resolve technical issues related to component design and integration
Interpret and utilize CAE results (stiffness, vibration, natural frequency, etc.) to support design decisions
Propose and implement design modifications based on test results and validation feedback
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and performance requirements
Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with suppliers to define technical requirements and evaluate design proposals
Support sourcing activities by reviewing supplier feasibility and technical capabilities
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure smooth development and industrialization
