Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity is located at our research and development facility in Waltham, Massachusetts. Bosch's Waltham facility is made up of 25 engineers, test and measurement laboratories, and a prototype shop, all working on advanced development projects for multiple product areas within the Bosch group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop products for use in automotive thermal systems.
  • Apply new air moving technologies to application projects.
  • Develop and improve in-house design and application tools.
  • Design experiments and apply measurement technologies to quantify part performance.
  • Design, prototype, and test new designs.


Qualifications

Required:
  • BS degree in mechanical, aeronautical or ocean engineering.
  • One or more years of relevant work or internship experience, including laboratory or equivalent hands-on experience.

Desired:
  • Hands-on approach with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude.
  • Knowledge of part design and testing, and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of CAD, FEA, injection molding, machining, and computer programming.
