Position summary:

Responsible for leading the measurement, corrosion, leak survey, and compliance operations to ensure compliance with all standards.

Pay Range: $116,500 - $192,400 (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)

Reporting Relationship: General Manager, Gas Operations

Location: Palmer Lake, Colorado

Essential Functions:
• Lead the Measurement and Corrosion team to provide the necessary support for the assigned state and work with other peers in the NGU to leverage best practices
• Manage and support the team safety initiatives in all phases of operations and in compliance with DOT, State, and Company standards.
• Developing budgets and guiding the team to in making financial decisions that have a positive impact
• Participate in selecting and fostering positive relationships with Third Party contractors, material suppliers, and customers to expedite project quality, cost, and completion times.
• Work as a member of the Operational Leadership Teams to work together to assure that quality and established guidelines are being met.
• Provide expert guidance while maintaining relationships with State PSC, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other pertinent regulatory agencies to remain informed of the status of any/all compliance matters.
• Act as a leader in continuous improvement efforts and create a positive environment that empowers all employees to continuously improve.
• Respond to emergency situations when needed, may be included in the on-call rotation.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Create, maintain, and insist on a workplace environment within the Gas Utilities group that promotes diversity, safety, fair and equal treatment of employees, open communications and the highest standards of ethical behavior.
• Positive working relationships and communications with local communities and customers served.
• Requires successful partnerships with other energy delivery groups and customer care to meet field services business goals, customer service standards, and expectations.
• Support vendor of choice relationships with utility and non-utility groups to meet non-regulated revenue and margin goals.

What Is Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in business management, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant utility industry experience and knowledge of gas measurement and/or operations.
• Supervisory experience or proven ability to lead employees.
• Proven leadership skills including coaching and engaging.
• This position requires driving responsibilities. You must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company and insurer standards.
• This role will be required to travel up to 50% of the time.

What Is Desired:
• National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and Gas Measurement certification.
• Supervisory experience or proven ability to lead employees. Proven leadership skills including coaching and engaging.
• Working knowledge of Gas Measurement, Corrosion Control, Leak Survey, and DOT/PSC Compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of personnel in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must have skills and ability to obtain and maintain Operator Qualification trainer status.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
