Measurement Analyst II or III

JOB SUMMARY: The Measurement Analyst supports a variety of Measurement Department functions by providing analytical and operational support across multiple systems. This role helps ensure the accuracy, quality, and reliability of measurement data through monitoring, reporting, investigation, and field dispatching activities. The Analyst collaborates with internal teams to identify and resolve communication and data quality issues, determine root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.

Please note, this position is posted as a job family and may be filled at either Analyst, II (Level 3) or Analyst, III (Level 4). People who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education and certifications may be eligible for the advanced grade.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Expertise:
• Process data into asset tracking system and review work exceptions
• Analyzes and resolves meter data issues
• Monitors statistical sampling programs • Investigates incomplete or missing data and works with appropriate parties to resolve
• Ability to interact with and understand multiple pieces of data across multiple systems and applications (e.g., Work Management, Asset Management, and Billing systems)
• Fulfill ad hoc requests as necessary • Gather, interpret, and format data and metrics for presentations for internal and external use
• Monitoring, analysis and reporting of pipeline station data • Analysis and reporting of data that supports various Measurement department functions
• Confirm configuration of industrial meters across multiple systems

Business Acumen:
• Initiate activities to support the needs and direction of the business
• Evaluate and recommend changes to process when new issues arise
• Provide analytical research and problem solving to identify problems, issues, errors and determine root cause
• Utilizes analytical skills to evaluate data for accuracy • Identify and evaluate improvements to systems Engagement:
• Partner with Management to review business processes; identify gaps and areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings
• Conduct analysis, document findings and communicate to business leaders to drive results
• Follow organizational policies and procedures and ensure compliance
• Manage partnerships and relationships within and outside the Measurement department • Partner cross functionally and at all levels of the organization to meet business objectives

Driving Results:
• Ensure accuracy of work meets departmental goals • Ensure timeliness of work completion meets departmental goals
• Ensure timely follow up
• Trouble shoot operating issues with applications used by Measurement
• Manage multiple/diverse priorities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Level 3
• Education:
• Required: BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience Related Work Experience:
• Required: • 3-5 years combined experience with utilities or other related experience
• 2-4 years' experience analyzing data
• Preferred:
• 3+ years gas utility experience
• 4-6 years analyzing operational data and supporting business processes
• Intermediate knowledge of business processes and procedures • Intermediate knowledge of business-related systems

• Interpersonal skills

Level 4
• Education: • Required: BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
• Related Work Experience:
• Required:
• 5-7 years combined experience with utilities or other related experience
• 3-5 years' experience analyzing data
• Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of business-related systems
• Demonstrated experience of analysis and intermediate understanding of the natural gas industry
• Preferred:
• 6-8 years analyzing operational data and supporting business processes
• Demonstrated effective team leading competencies.
• Specific Skill and Knowledge:
• Required:
• Strong attention to detail and big picture concepts
• Strong analytical skills/ability to solve problems
• Strong interpersonal skills (indirect managing)
• Exercise sound judgment in the use of oral and written communication skills
