POSITION SUMMARY

The MC Resident Care Nurse Director oversees the delivery of nursing care and services within the MC area, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. This role involves leadership, management, and coordination of nursing staff to provide high-quality care to residents in a compassionate and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in line with regulatory requirements.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.

- Ensure the delivery of quality nursing care to residents, tailored to their individual needs.

- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and develop care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as necessary.

- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including DPH and CMS standards.

- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and facilitate audits to maintain a high standard of care.

- Address any issues or incidents promptly and maintain accurate documentation as required.

- Act as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and external healthcare providers.

- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding health issues and care plans.

- Participate in resident and family meetings to enhance communication and feedback.

- Assist in the development and management of the nursing budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources.

- Monitor supply inventory and maintain cost-effective practices within the nursing department
  • Protects the privacy of the resident when communicating oral and written information
  • Participate in dementia and Alzheimer's training
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements and Experience:
