MBSE Software Systems Engineer, HSV
Davidson is hiring a
MBSE Software Systems Engineer on-site in Huntsville, AL who will work with the Air Force designing, developing, and deploying software for the United States' next-generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an opportunity to start with a clean slate, rather than revamping a decades-old missile.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform in a "Model Based Systems Engineering" (MBSE) environment
- Analyze users' requirements, concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
- Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies
- Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design and technology
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
- Develop technical, system Architecture and system design documentation
- Collaborates with Product Owners regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues
- Take responsibility for the technical integrity of systems engineering work
Job Requirements:- 15+ years experience as a software and systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- 4 years of additional software or systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Experience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languages
- Excellent organizational and facilitation skills
- Self-starter able to step up to difficult challenges
Desired Competencies:- Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development (DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, DO-330, etc.)
- Understanding of MIL-STD-882
Clearance Requirements:- Active DoD Security Clearance
