Position descriptionThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA seeks a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician-scientist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank. This position confers membership in the Academic Senate.
The successful candidate's research interest can include ovarian, endometriosis, and cervical biology research. The incumbent will be expected to engage in grant-supported collaborative studies within the department and UCLA Health System, including team-based and multi-disciplinary studies. Responsibilities include patient care, research, and teaching of medical students, residents, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows in the areas of clinical service and research.
Applicants must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent to apply and must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Candidates must also be board certified or eligible in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM). Applicants with a strong research track record are encouraged to apply. The incumbent should be enthusiastic about engaging in academically productive scientific inquiry, augmenting an active clinical program, serving the university community and educating medical students, residents, and fellows.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, credentials and prior accomplishments.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 - Summary. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
