Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
• Conduct polymeric material characterizations to support supply risk mitigation and cost mitigation projects
• Perform mechanical testing of final assembled blood collection tube products and report results to principal investigator and/or project team
• Develop and execute test protocols and document results in a timely fashion
• Review documentation for accuracy
• Prepare technical communication in forms of reports, memos, etc.
• Maintenance of equipment and laboratory facilities
Experience Required
• Experience in design of experience
Skills & Certifications
Minimum qualifications
• B.S. + degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering or relating disciplines
• Good understanding of material structure-property relationship
• Hands-on experience with material characterizations such as INSTRON, DSC/TGA, DMA and FTIR
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills
Eligibilities & qualifications
Preferred qualifications
• M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Material Science, Polymer Engineering and relating disciplines
• Knowledge in blood biology and clinical assays. Medical device experience preferred.
• Proficient with Minitab
• Experience in design of experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to communicate effectively with scientists and engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds.
