Responsibilities

  • Supervise and evaluate performance of Planners-Buyers and manage production priorities.
  • Drive metrics for On Time Delivery and Inventory management.

  • Validate financial data related to procurement on a weekly basis.
  • Support various projects related to sourcing and operational improvements.
  • Connect with the Financial team to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Create training materials and document procedures for effective planning processes.

Full Job Description
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you'll do:

The primary function of this position is to determine and lead implementation of policies and procedures (standard work) for tactical procurement of materials. The position will interface with the Power Systems Sourcing team, plant operations, and other supply chain functions in support of efforts to build strong supplier relationships that deliver supplier on time delivery, material availability, inventory DOH, and improved service levels from suppliers. This position reports to the Site Supply Chain Manager and leads a team of Material Planners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise, coordinate and measure performance of assigned Planners-Buyers, handling priorities of production and support issues with suppliers
  • Drive the process for metrics of On Time Delivery, Orders Fill Rate, Supplier On Time Delivery, and Inventory.
  • Drive the problem-solving process in the daily production meeting.
  • Revise and validate with finance in weekly basis PPV, GR/IR.
  • Participate and support in different projects related of savings, design, marketing, sourcing, etc.
  • Drive the process for connecting with the Financial team (FSS) and ensuring payment for direct suppliers, validate and send the changes needed.
  • Create training material and document procedures as well as develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans that comply with new/existing business processes.
  • Act as the 'Voice of the Customer' in order to assist in the resolution of Customer inquiries requests. Serve as the overall technical resource for Scheduling and capacity related issues and problem solution alternatives.
  • Use a combination of performance management, functional leadership, and recruiting for critical skills to create a highly capable workforce with opportunities for achievement and advancement.
  • Help Develop & Implement a shared Supply Chain vision to achieve the Materials planning and procurement objectives.
  • Responsible for engaging the production plan of the various materials, parts, and subassemblies required by the plant. Drives for resolution of material shortages.
  • Participate on the definition of MRP strategies and parameters to support material availability and inventory goals given different type of parts.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with five years of supervision experience in a supply chain function ORBachelor's degree and two years of supervision experience in a supply chain function.
  • Minimum of two years of progressive planning or buying experience in a manufacturing environment. preferably in an ETO environment
  • Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Candidates that currently reside or are willing to relocate within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • One year of SAP experience
  • Experience in purchasing/ sourcing in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Progressive planning or buying experience in an ETO environment.
  • NAPM certification and/or APICS certification.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
