Full Job Description
We are currently searching for Materials Manager to join our team at our Fremont Plant in Fremont, OH. What you will do: • Ensuring the safe operation of the plants material handling equipment in accordance with published plant and corporate guidelines for forklifts, docks, dock locks, chocks, doors, plate switchers, trucks, and trailers • Develop CI actions to ensure compliance • Responsible for overall plant performance for CI activities, meeting profit plan goals, driving open action items to completion, and CI steering committee meetings. • Lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drive the change management necessary to implement effective programs and a continuous improvement-focused culture. • Manage CI actions to achieve 98% + inventory accuracy • Create strategies to optimize workflow, processes, and reduce scrap. • Establish metrics to monitor financial savings and other key performance indicators (KPIs) • Collaborate with internal and external partners to make sustainable improvements. • Ensure that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes are being used. • Maintain reporting and accuracy of Kaizen Measurables and CI metrics, including on-time administration of AURIA Production System, and development of future state plans and manufacturing strategies. • Hands-on experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering. • Co-develop training and developmental materials to include job aids/single point lessons. • Using engineering and continuous improvement techniques, establish optimum manufacturing cell configuration (creation of most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow). • Determine product flow by evaluating resource requirements, material flow, packaging, flow racks, equipment rates, and ergonomic considerations. • Facilitate advanced problem-solving and analysis of specific improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions. • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions. • Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. • Proven experience in continuous improvement roles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
