Job Description:

The Supply Chain Manager owns the business unit supply chain including the development of strategies, policies, and high-level objectives related to S&OP and production planning, the procurement of goods and services, to logistics, inventory management and control.

Further, they are an experienced self-directed leader with a high level of competence that independently develops & executes a vision to maintain a top performing supply chain organization utilizing industry best practices. In addition, they build a cohesive team, develop the skills and talent of others, and align the team's activities with corporate directives to achieve Milwaukee Tool business objectives.

To be successful, the Supply Chain Manager will have a deep understanding of enterprise management planning (ERP) software and strong functional knowledge, as well as a sound mixture of strategic operations, collaboration, and excellent communication skills in concert with lean thinking.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversee S&OP, preparation and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule performing risk and recovery analysis, and mitigate supply and capacity risks
• Be engaged in New Product introduction to ensure the Supply Chain can support requirements from engineering build to mass production and lead material strategies
• Direct and implement logistics and inventory management and control best practices
• Oversee Operational Buying, ensuring supply
  • Drive supplier delivery performance and continuity of supply
  • Partner with Corporate Sourcing to align supplier strategy execution

• Analyze trends, root cause, develop action plans, and track various monthly KPIs
• Monitor slow moving inventory and obsolescence and drive improvement
• Investigate ERP functionality to optimize the supply chain and operations and ensure data integrity
• Build best practice processes in support of the infrastructure, including lean enhancement of policies, practices and procedures
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training and ensure continued employee growth through development
• Champion supply chain tools and methodologies and is a recognized subject matter expert (SME) and Super User

Education, Skills, and Experience
• Bachelor's degree required in a business-related field and a minimum of 5-8 years Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment in addition to a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
• Experienced in S&OP, production planning and new product development
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, project and risk management and leadership experience within a supply chain
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Experience implementing lean enterprise methods (Lean, Six Sigma) as well as APICS certification preferred
