Job SummaryThe Materials Manager is primarily responsible for receiving, inspection, storage, protection, preservation, and issuance of Goods to ensure a continuous and effective flow of equipment and materials to support construction activities.
Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel to assigned project site locations as required. Per diem will be provided for eligible travel assignments in accordance with company policy.Essential Functions- Always represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
- Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
- Generally responsible for receipt, care, custody, and control of Goods delivered to the jobsite.
- Operates/maintains the project inventory control system. Fulfills Construction requisitions for required Goods.
- Strategic and day-day management of all Material Management control activities and staff.
- Maintain reporting relative to Materials and Material Planning/Allocation to support Construction.
- Will serve as a key member of the Project Management Team and participate in progress/planning meetings.
Qualifications- 10+ years' experience in Inventory Management and Supply Chain.
- Strong knowledge of the tools, equipment, procedures, and materials used in the industrial construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related experience, in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, preferred.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Must be a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and sees projects through to completion.
- Efficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP Systems.
- This position may incur overtime, travel, and be jobsite location based.
