  • Guide the implementation of standard work and operational procedures across sites

  • Establish credible Master Production Schedules (MPS) in collaboration with site teams.

Job Description

As a Materials Management Principal here at Honeywell, you will lead and optimize the materials management processes to ensure efficient supply chain operations and inventory control within our Industrial Automation business. You will play a critical role in driving cost savings, improving material availability, and supporting production schedules to meet customer demands.

You will report directly to our Sr Director Materials Management and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA or Ciudad Juarez, MX locations on a Hybrid work schedule.

As a planning leader, you will lead the projects implementing planning systems and processes across the business units to ensure these initiatives deliver expected outcomes. You will support the SIOP leaders of several business divisions to execute the vision and goals. Mentor, train, and develop planners to become effective in the improved operating system. Partner with I.T. and the business to lead the resolution of system and process issues. Navigate processes and people through change management to successfully deploy the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM).

You will provide coaching, guidance, and indirect leadership to the planning community within Industrial Automation to increase their skills and capability in readiness for this transformation initiative. The successful candidate must be capable of performing project management tasks for a large-scale initiative involving the coordination & facilitation of cross-functional meetings and training. Utilizing and deploying Lean Six Sigma techniques, leading continuous improvement activities, and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Initiatives).

In this role, you will impact the overall operational efficiency of Honeywell's Industrial Automation division by managing material flow, supplier relationships, and inventory strategies that support manufacturing and business objectives.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement materials management strategies that optimize inventory levels and reduce costs while ensuring material availability for production.
  • Lead supplier relationship management and collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement in materials planning and logistics.
  • IA Focal for all Rapid Response Production Planning enhancements, track enhancements, develop standard work / operational procedures and train sites to adopt the new enhancements
  • IA Focal for the Rapid Response Constraint Properties ownership - develop the audit and drive action plans with sites to improve the maturity of the Constraint Properties
  • Establish yourself as the primary point of contact for the Rapid Response Production Planning
  • Production Planning training lead for sites implementing Rapid Response Production Planning
  • Utilize Rapid Response and SAP to create Rough Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) for all IA Sites
  • Collaborate with sites to build realistic and credible MPS' as needed


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Proven experience in materials management within industrial or manufacturing environments with a focus on supply chain optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, demand planning, and supplier management practices.
  • Expertise in ERP systems and supply chain software tools to analyze and manage material flows effectively.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Proven record of driving planning to achieve key performance metrics.
  • 5 years of experience in Supply Planning and Production planning including knowledge of MRP, DDRP, Capacity Planning, MPS, SIOP and Variant configuration.
  • Kinaxis Rapid Response and/or SAP knowledge and use for planning and scheduling.
  • Preferred Extensive demonstrated SAP experience in manufacturing / Supply chain management with hands on understanding of SAP configuration.


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree in related operations management or supply chain management or equivalent
  • Six Sigma Lean Expert
  • PMP, APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in industrial automation or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Good understanding of global supply chain challenges and risk management strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
