Chipton-Ross is seeking a Materials Engineer for a contract opportunity in Santa Rosa, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Must have 10-15 years in advanced thin film coatings
- Experienced thin film materials and process engineer. Extensive experience with sputtering and evaporation designs and processes to produce optical thin-film based products.
- Can be involved in mentoring and training entry level engineers and manufacturing technicians.
- Acts as primary technical contact to internal Program Managers for multiple projects. Expertise using one or more thin film design tools such as TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, FilmWizard.
- Competent with various advanced analytical and metrology tools.
- Solid communication skill to support engagements with customers, vendors and colleagues at all levels within the organization.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: focus on driving disciplined, fact-based and data-driven decisions while executing with discipline and urgency
REQUIRED EDUCATION- Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related field.
WORK HOURS- Full-Time
- 4/10 work schedule
- 1st Shift
