Position

Materials and Manufacturing Researcher
  • Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Depending on Experience and Education
  • Travel: 5%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Materials and Manufacturing Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct armor materials research for protection systems, to include manned and unmanned systems as well as Soldier protection systems.
  • Conduct materials and concepts research for advanced weapon systems.
  • Conduct materials and processing research at small and high deformation rates/scales.
  • Conduct multi-scale advanced materials modeling.
  • Recommend courses of action for internal and external Government research collaborations.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and maintain supplies, materials, and equipment for use at laboratories.
  • Present research projects at technical meetings and conferences.
  • Prepare presentations and written documents summarizing efforts

Minimum Qualifications of Materials and Manufacturing Researcher
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science related field and 5+ years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.
