Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support Programs for Electro-Optical (EO) & Infrared (IR) Solutions . The (MPM) role, within RTX, requires the individual to have demonstrated project management experience and to be accountable for overall supplier management, performance and success. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of supporting and executing organizational and program objectives, and able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management and supplier management.
The MPM is the single point of contact between management and internal customers, including the Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts.
The MPM will represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives, oversee all supply chain management (SCM) activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensure a strong link between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control. This position requires an individual who will be able to influence others to execute the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program.
As the interface between Supply Chain, the Program Office/Integrated Product Team (IPT), supplier, and other functions working on both development and production contracts; this role is responsible for executing to outlined supply chain strategies and supporting organizational and program objectives.
What You Will Do
- Create, manage, and execute Material Program Strategy (MPS)and the Material Program Plan (MPP) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure
- Monitoring and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS
- Support program capture efforts with New Business Team to get compliant material pricing submittals and develop BOE’s (Basis of Estimates) for MPM support labor
- Oversee TINA (Truth in Negotiations Act) suppliers, with focus on collaborating with the Program IPTs (Integrated Product Teams) to ensure cost effective material availability for production requirements
- Provide Supply Chain support for RLPM (RTX Lifecycle Program Management)
- Collaborate with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including other RI&S programs commonality; identifying synergies betweenawarded contractual scopeprocurements across EOIR
- Maintain accurate Investment Sales Forecasts, Sales and Operating Plans, and Annual Operating Plans
- Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
- Flow down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly during Program Performance Reviews
- Influence others to achieve overall objectives and long-range goals of the program
- Travel domestically not more than 15%
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Minimum 6 years experience in supply chain, finance, operations, project management, and/or program management role
- Experience in Material Forecasting, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Material Estimate at Complete (EAC), and/or Earned Value (EV)
- Experience managing supplier performance relative to financials, performance metrics, and/or contract compliance
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications You Must Have
- Supplier management experience (PO placement, proposal reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition)
- Earned Value Management (EVM) certification or equivalent.
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
- Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry
- Experience with government regulations (i.e. FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
