Are you a visionary supply chain leader ready to build from the ground up? GE Vernova is launching a new state-of-the-art Grid Automation manufacturing facility in the Salt Lake City area, and we are looking for a Material Planning and Execution Manager to architect our operational foundation.
As a core member of the site leadership team, you will not just manage a department-you will build one. You will translate customer demand into executable supply plans while championing our SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) framework. From greenfield commissioning to scaling for long-term growth, you will be the engine that ensures our materials, production, and logistics operations are world-class.
Job DescriptionYour Role & Impact- Facility Launch & Scale: Lead the strategic establishment of planning processes, ERP/MRP architecture, inventory strategy, and warehouse operations for our new facility.
- Operational Excellence: Drive sustainable performance by aligning demand with manufacturing capacity, ensuring flawless material flow from suppliers to the customer.
- Leadership & Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team. You will foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and safety, ensuring your organization grows in maturity alongside our production volumes.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a critical node in our network, collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Global Operations to mitigate risks and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean principles to eliminate waste, optimize inventory turns, and drive digital transformation initiatives across our planning systems.
What You Bring (Required Qualifications)- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with expertise in materials management, production planning, supply chain operations, inventory optimization, or warehouse management.
Why You'll Stand Out (Desired Qualifications)- Greenfield Expertise: Demonstrated success establishing materials, planning, warehouse, and inventory processes within a greenfield or rapidly growing manufacturing operation.
- Proven Results: A record of improving material availability, inventory performance, working capital, planning maturity, and operational execution.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems-SAP expertise is highly preferred.
- Strategic Mindset: A strong understanding of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) and the ability to balance complex commercial and operational priorities.
- Lean Advocate: Deep practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its application in modern supply chains.
- Dynamic Leadership: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, turning ambiguity into clear, actionable plans.
Location & Travel- Base: Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a site-based leadership role essential to our facility's success.
- Travel: Up to 10/% travel may be required to engage with suppliers, visit other GE Vernova facilities, or support critical business initiatives.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700.00 and $152,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
