We are looking for a Material Planner to join our team. This position will be based at our Grand Prairie, TX location. The Material Planner oversees raw material procurement to ensure timely availability while meeting inventory and financial targets. This role balances supply, demand, and cost requirements to support uninterrupted production.
Additionally, the Material Planner supports the accuracy and integrity of purchasing demand by reviewing, validating, and updating material requirements within SAP. Through proactive planning and demand management, this position helps optimize inventory levels, improve supply chain efficiency, and minimize the risk of production disruptions.
You'll make an impact by: - Coordinate supply and demand across production lines, factories, and suppliers, partnering with purchasing, planning, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure material availability, on-time customer fulfillment, and alignment with financial goals.
- Manage MRP in SAP, monitor requisitions, and place purchase orders with internal and external suppliers.
- Review and maintain SAP master data, including minimum order quantities, safety stock, lead times, and purchasing information records.
- Analyze current and future demand and complex data sets to develop forecasts and support planning, sourcing, supplier strategies, and inventory optimization.
- Coordinate customer and engineering changes while promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Achieve inventory, delivery reliability, and cost-savings targets; resolve GR/IR discrepancies and late purchase orders; and monitor KPIs such as inventory turns, material availability, order availability, and supplier delivery reliability.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 3-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience using an MRP system in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing competing priorities in a high-volume manufacturing or procurement environment
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and supply chain activities
- Experience negotiating supplier pricing, terms, and delivery commitments
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications: - APICS CSCP and/or CPIM
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Microsoft Access
- Excel Macros

The pay range for this position is $81,753 - $140,148 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
