Full Job Description
Summary:

The Material Buyer/Planner for high reliability Hybrid DC-DC converters for Space and Military is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production process to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products. This role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to meet customer demands and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Execute the development and maintenance of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  2. Identify potential alternates and submit re-identification forms to Stockroom for processing.
  3. Determine the required materials and submit purchase requisitions to Purchasing.
  4. Periodically review safety stock levels and recommend adjustments.
  5. Monitor Order to Forecast (OTF) PO's and adjust expedite priority listing to properly manage cashflow.
  6. Assist in the review of Slow Moving material.
  7. Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations. Communicate reschedule requirements to Corporate Purchasing team.
  8. Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages or delivery delays, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
  9. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  10. Perform or assist with any material/inventory planning operations, as required, to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
